Women's rights are the fundamental human rights that were enshrined by the United Nations for every human being on the planet nearly 70 years ago. These rights include the right to live free from violence, slavery, and discrimination; to be educated; to own property; to vote; and to earn a fair and equal wage. -www.globalfundforwomen.org/womens-human-rights/
There are multiple legislation that protect women’s rights. In 1938, the Federal government stopped their ban on birth control along with the Com Stock era. This enabled people to talk about contraceptives, do research on contraceptives, and mail them. In the 1960s oral contraceptives were legalized for married couples only due to the right of privacy. In 1972, oral contraceptives were extended to the right of privacy for single women.
All women have the right to their bodies. All women should have access to safe and effective types of birth control. Individuals have the right to be educated on all forms of birth control as well. Planned Parenthood extends these rights to the people who cannot afford birth control or do not have access to health care.
